The rooms with kitchen feature full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, kitchen sink. Kitchen has pots, pans, wine glasses, utensils and dining china. City view room had great view of misty Berkeley hills in morning. Because hotel has actual residents, staff are more friendly and hospitable compared to normal hotel staff. Comfortable for a multi-day stay if you need a temporary apartment. Two large screen tvs (you need your own Netflix, Prime sign-ins). Location is heart of Berkeley - great restaurant options across the street.

The clerk who take care of check-in was super professional -- really excellent. The housekeeping people were always polite and careful. Lourdes, in particular, really excelled. All personnel was impeccable and highly professional, including people helping at breakfast. Breakfast is included and a lot of fun with the waffle stations. The fitness center is well organized an open 24h. Berkeley downtown BART station just a few steps away.

Personel very kind, problems are solved immediately after reporting. Room has a well equiped kitchen, coffee and tea. Very nice place for a shorter or longer stay. Excellent train connection with San Francisco. Private parking paid around 50 $ per day. Supermarket in a walking distance, some ready meals available in the hotel lobby to warm up in the microwave.

Location was excellent for our purpose and that was to attend my daughter’s graduation at UC Berkeley but since we checked out early in the morning ,we did not get much from what we paid for.It would have been different had we stayed a little longer till noon ,but the city view was awesome at night and breakfast was very good.

We loved the staff especially - all the staff, the valets, the front desk, the cleaning staff, the food service staff, etc. We especially want to thank Rhashana, our food service provider from Nepal. Rhashana greeted us every morning and made sure we were happy. Thank you Rhashana and thank you Marriott!
